Agents that know your codebase.
Rulegate Pro runs beside Claude Code and gives its agents what they lack: a playbook for each role, a map of how every feature is built, memory that survives the session, and a guard that stops them editing files they shouldn't. Your code never leaves your computer.
What it adds to Claude Code
Playbooks, served
Seven agents — cartographer, architect, builder, tester, reviewer, documenter, orchestrator — each fetch a full working playbook from the app at the start of a task.
Feature maps
Before changing a feature, the cartographer answers how it is built: files, data flow, blast radius. Maps are kept and reused, so the next change starts from what is known.
Memory
What agents learn about a project is kept on your computer, readable and editable in the app, and handed back to them next time.
The edit guard
Generated files — CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, .cursor/rules — can't be hand-edited by the agent. It is pointed at the source in .rulegate/ instead.
Every session, one place
Live Claude Code sessions across your projects, what each is doing, and an activity log of what Pro served.
Private by design
Projects, maps, memory and prompts stay local. The app goes online only to sign in, check your license and look for updates. Exactly what is sent.
Built on Rulegate, which is free
Rulegate is the open-source CLI underneath: one .rulegate/ source generates every AI tool's config, and rulegate check fails CI when they drift. It is MIT-licensed and free forever. Rulegate Pro is the desktop app on top, for people who live in Claude Code.
npx rulegate init --plugin --yes
Requirements
macOS 11 or later, Windows 10 or later, or Linux (AppImage or .deb). Claude Code installed. One plan covers two computers.
